The OSG 651032711 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. It features a 21/64 inch (0.3281 inch) diameter, a 140-degree R-thinned point for accurate self-centering entry, and an EgiAs coating for extended tool life under heat and wear. With a straight-cylindrical shank measuring 3/8 inch in diameter and a regular spiral flute, this bit delivers consistent chip evacuation and stable cutting action. The overall length is 128.00 mm with a flute length of 67.00 mm, placing it in a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio. It is intended for licensed machinists and tooling professionals working in production and job-shop environments.
This drill bit is suited for blind hole drilling, cross-hole operations, and standard through-drilling in steel, alloy steel, cast iron, titanium, and titanium alloys. It supports coolant-through delivery, making it well-matched for CNC machining centers and production drilling applications where thermal management is critical. The two-flute, right-hand cut configuration handles high chip loads typical of these harder workpiece materials. It is part of OSG Series 6510 and is built for applications where standard HSS tooling falls short.
Rated for primary workpiece material codes P (steel), K (cast iron), S (titanium and titanium alloys), and H (hardened materials). Designed for use in CNC machining centers and drilling fixtures that accept a 3/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Compatible with coolant-through toolholding systems.
This bit should be installed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Verify the collet or chuck is sized for a 3/8 inch shank and torqued to the machine manufacturer's specification. When running coolant-through, confirm coolant pressure and flow rate are set per the machining program before initiating the cut.
