The OSG 631033111 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit sized to Letter Q (0.3319 inch / 8.43 mm) for high-performance drilling in ferrous materials. It features a 140-degree point angle with R-thinned web geometry that promotes self-centering and reduces thrust in hard materials. The EgiAs coating extends tool life in steel, alloy steel, and cast iron applications. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 10.00 mm in diameter, and the overall length is 103 mm (approximately 4.06 inches) with a 61 mm flute length. Series 6310 is designed for demanding production drilling where dimensional accuracy and tool longevity are critical.
This bit is suited for metalworking trades including machining, maintenance, and fabrication shops running CNC or manual drill presses. Its 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and tapered web configuration make it effective for blind hole, cross hole, and through-hole drilling operations in steel and cast iron workpieces. The two-flute spiral design handles chip evacuation efficiently in typical production-depth holes. Coolant-through is not supported on this model.
Designed for drilling steel, alloy steel, and cast iron workpieces. Compatible with standard drill chucks and collets accepting a 10.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Suited for CNC machining centers and manual drill presses running Series 6310 tooling.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures with the machine fully powered down and locked out. Secure the shank fully within the chuck or collet to the recommended engagement depth before operation. Solid carbide is brittle compared to high-speed steel — avoid side loading, interrupted cuts at excessive feed rates, or dropping the bit on hard surfaces. Verify spindle speed and feed rate against the tooling manufacturer guidelines for the specific workpiece material before running.
