The OSG 631015511 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in steel, cast iron, and hardened materials. It features a 5/32 inch (0.1563 inch) diameter with a 140-degree X-thinned point that promotes self-centering and reduces walking on entry. The EgiAs multi-layer coating extends tool life in demanding applications. With an overall length of 2.91 inches and a flute length of 1.42 inches, this bit is sized for general-purpose jobber reach. A tapered web configuration and regular spiral flute geometry support efficient chip evacuation in blind hole and cross-hole operations. This bit is installed by machinists, tool and die technicians, and maintenance professionals working with ferrous and hardened workpieces.
The OSG 631015511 is suited for blind hole drilling, cross-hole drilling, through-hole drilling, and self-centering applications in steel, cast iron, and hardened materials. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio makes it appropriate for moderate-depth holes in production and maintenance machining environments. It is a right-hand cut bit with a straight cylindrical shank, compatible with standard drill chucks and collet systems used in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and handheld power tools.
Designed for use in steel, cast iron, and hardened materials. Compatible with standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) straight shank. Suitable for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and rotary power tools.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians familiar with carbide tooling. Ensure the machine spindle and chuck are fully powered down and secured before changing bits. Carbide bits are brittle and should not be used at feed rates or speeds outside of the manufacturer recommended range for the workpiece material. Inspect the cutting edge and coating before each use and remove from service if chipping or coating damage is observed.
