Built from high speed steel with a coated finish, this bit features a 120-degree faceted drill point, web-thinned geometry, and a spiral flute configuration that promotes efficient chip evacuation. At 0.2717 inches (Letter size I, 6.91 mm) in diameter, it fits the standard screw machine length profile, making it well suited for applications where stub-length rigidity and accuracy are required. It is installed and used by machinists, tool and die professionals, and maintenance technicians working on production or repair operations.
This bit is engineered for drilling in steel, stainless steel, aluminum, aluminum alloy, and aluminum silicate workpieces. The screw machine length format offers a shorter, stiffer profile compared to jobber-length bits, reducing deflection in production drilling environments. The straight-cylindrical shank accommodates standard drill chucks and collet-style toolholders.
