The OSG 595015011 is a solid carbide screw machine length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding metalworking applications. It carries a wire gauge size of 25, equivalent to 3.80 mm or 0.1495 decimal inch, and features a 140-degree split point angle for accurate self-centering and reduced thrust. The WXS coating improves wear resistance and lubricity, extending tool life when cutting through tough workpiece materials. With a slow spiral flute geometry and R-thinned web, this bit maintains cutting efficiency in difficult materials. It is suited for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and screw machine operations where repeatable hole quality is required.
This drill bit is intended for use in alloy steel and nickel alloy workpieces, making it appropriate for aerospace, oil and gas, and heavy industrial machining environments. The screw machine length format provides a short, rigid profile that reduces deflection in close-clearance fixturing and multi-spindle setups. Coolant-through capability supports high-speed drilling cycles with through-spindle coolant delivery systems. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 6 mm diameter seats securely in standard drill chucks and collet holders.
Designed for use in alloy steel and nickel alloy workpieces as part of the OSG Series 5950Ni product line. Fits standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with CNC or manual drilling equipment. Ensure the spindle and workpiece are properly secured before engaging the drill. When using coolant-through capability, verify that coolant pressure and flow rate are compatible with the spindle and toolholding system. Do not exceed the recommended cutting parameters for the workpiece material to avoid premature tool wear or breakage.
