The cutting diameter measures 0.1181 inches (3.00 mm), making it well suited for fine slot milling, profiling, and contouring in precision machining environments. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, this end mill offers improved heat and wear resistance compared to standard M2 HSS tooling. It features 4 flutes with a 30-degree right-hand spiral helix and is configured as a single-end, uncoated tool. The OSG 5810100 is intended for use in machine shop environments where small-diameter end milling is required. With a 3/8-inch length of cut (LOC) and a 3/8-inch shank diameter, this tool is compatible with standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and Weldon-style holders commonly found in both CNC and manual milling setups. The 2-5/16-inch overall length (OAL) positions it as a regular-length tool appropriate for general-depth applications without extended-reach requirements. Non-centercutting geometry means this tool is intended for side milling and slotting, not plunge cutting.
Designed as an OEM-style cutting tool compatible with standard 3/8-inch end mill holders, ER collet chucks, and Weldon-style tool holders used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. Part of the OSG Series 581 cobalt end mill line.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered down and spindle locked. Confirm holder bore size matches the 3/8-inch shank diameter before mounting. This tool is not centercutting and should not be used for direct plunge entry into solid material.
