The OSG 5742300 is a 4-flute square end mill designed for general-purpose milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Manufactured from 3% vanadium high speed steel, this tool delivers improved wear resistance and edge retention compared to standard M2 HSS. The 5742300 features a 5/8 inch cutting diameter, a 1-5/8 inch length of cut, and a 30-degree spiral helix angle that promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduced cutting forces. It is center-cutting, allowing direct plunge entry into workpiece material without a pre-drilled hole.
