The OSG 5733200 is a square end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, alloy steels, and similar workpiece materials. Built from 3 percent vanadium high speed steel, this tool offers increased wear resistance and hot hardness compared to standard M2 HSS grades. The cutter runs a 0.75 inch diameter with a 1.3125 inch length of cut and a 30-degree helix angle on spiral flutes. The two-flute geometry provides generous chip clearance, making it well suited for slotting, profiling, and plunge operations. This end mill is center-cutting, allowing direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals running manual mills or CNC machining centers are the primary users.
The OSG 5733200 fits standard applications where a regular-length, two-flute square end mill is appropriate. The 0.75 inch shank diameter matches common ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and Weldon-style side-lock holders. The 3.5625 inch overall length keeps the tool compact for rigidity in side-milling and profiling cuts. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional spindle direction. No chipbreaker is present, keeping the cutting edge geometry clean for finishing passes. The uncoated surface is compatible with cutting fluids and oils used in everyday shop practice.

Installation is performed by qualified machinists following standard toolholding procedures. Secure the 0.75 inch shank firmly in a clean, undamaged holder and verify runout before cutting. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the axis drives are disabled before changing or adjusting tooling. Follow the machining center or manual mill manufacturer guidelines for proper torque on set screws or collet nuts.
