The OSG 464-1575 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.1575 inch (4.00 mm) mill diameter and a 0.748 inch (19.00 mm) length of cut, this tool handles slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The four-flute configuration provides a balance of chip evacuation and surface finish. A 30-degree helix angle aids in smooth cutting action and reduced vibration. This is a single-end, uncoated tool in the OSG Series 464 long-length format.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines in job shop, production, and tool-and-die environments. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, making it practical for pocket milling as well as contour work. The long length of cut relative to diameter is useful when machining deeper features or when additional reach is required. Machinists working in tight-tolerance applications will find the right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute orientation standard for conventional setups.
Designed as an OEM-style cutting tool replacement or new-installation end mill for standard milling chucks, collet holders, and tool holders accepting a 4.00 mm (0.1575 inch) shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the tool holder collet and bore are clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Verify spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut parameters in the machine program before engaging the cut. Never exceed the tool manufacturers recommended cutting parameters for the workpiece material.
