The OSG 457110111 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for demanding metal removal in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It features a 10 mm cutting diameter with a 0.5 mm corner radius, a 4-flute spiral geometry with a high helix angle of 45 degrees, and a WXS PVD coating that extends tool life in abrasive and high-temperature applications. The single-end design is centercutting and supports both roughing and finishing operations. This tool is typically installed by machinists and CNC programmers running vertical or horizontal machining centers in job shop, production, and aerospace environments.
This end mill is suited for use in milling ferrous metals, hardened steels, and exotic alloys where corner integrity and surface finish consistency are critical. The extended reach design, with a 50 mm reach length and a neck diameter of 9.70 mm, allows access to deeper pockets and stepped features without sacrificing rigidity. The straight-cylindrical shank is compatible with standard toolholders used on CNC machining centers. Normal pitch and right-hand flute direction make it straightforward to apply in conventional and climb milling strategies on steel and stainless steel workpieces.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is properly seated and torqued in the toolholder before running. Verify shank runout is within acceptable limits before commencing a cut. Consult the toolholder manufacturer specifications and applicable shop safety protocols when setting tool offsets and feed rates.
