The OSG 447100511 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill from the OSG Series 4471, designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. It features a 1/8 inch cutting diameter with a 0.01 inch corner radius, four right-hand spiral flutes, and a WXS PVD coating that extends tool life in high-hardness and abrasive workpiece materials. The overall length is 2.25 inches, with a 0.75 inch length of cut and a 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Extended reach geometry and a reduced neck diameter of 0.12 inches allow access to tighter pockets and slots. This tool is suited for both roughing and finishing operations, and is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling professionals.
The 447100511 is intended for use on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines equipped with compatible toolholders accepting a 1/8 inch straight shank. Primary target workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The high helix angle, center-cutting capability, and right-hand cutting direction make it effective for slotting, profiling, and contouring operations where a corner radius is required to reduce stress concentrations and improve surface finish at inside corners.
Designed for use with toolholders accepting a 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank with an h6 shank diameter tolerance. Rated for primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials per OSG material codes P, M, K, S, and H.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC setup technicians. The tool must be secured in a compatible toolholder and torqued to the toolholder specification before use. Verify runout after installation to prevent premature wear or chipping in the solid carbide substrate. Do not exceed the recommended speeds and feeds for the target workpiece material and coating combination as specified by OSG tooling documentation.
