The OSG 412-2188 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in a wide range of metalworking and machining applications. With a 7/32 inch (0.2188 inch) cutting diameter and a 7/16 inch (0.4375 inch) length of cut, this stub-length tool offers rigidity and resistance to deflection in shallow-to-moderate depth cuts. The 1/4 inch shank diameter and 2 inch overall length make it compatible with standard collet chucks and end mill holders. Two spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle provide efficient chip evacuation. The micrograin carbide substrate delivers hardness and wear resistance suited for ferrous and non-ferrous materials.

This end mill is suited for milling operations in job shops, tool rooms, and production machining environments. Its centercutting geometry allows for plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral and slot milling.
