The OSG 37700010 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling across a broad range of workpiece materials. Built to a 3 mm diameter with a 0.2 mm corner radius and 2 helical flutes, it delivers a controlled cutting profile that reduces edge chipping and extends tool life in demanding applications. The 8 mm length of cut and 60 mm overall length suit it for reaching into slots, pockets, and profiled features in precision components. A WXL physical vapor deposition (PVD) coating enhances surface hardness and heat resistance. Center-cutting geometry allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is suited for roughing operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The coarse pitch flute geometry promotes chip evacuation during aggressive material removal. Its right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are compatible with standard CNC machining centers and manual vertical mills. The 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank seats in a standard toolholder or collet chuck. It is a single-end tool in the OSG Series 3770 line, intended for applications where a tight corner radius and durable carbide substrate are required.
Designed for use with standard CNC toolholders and collet systems accepting a 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Rated for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials per OSG material codes P, M, K, N, S, and H.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout at the tool tip before beginning a cut, as excessive runout on a small-diameter carbide end mill accelerates breakage.
