The OSG 36700311 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. With a 0.0938-inch cutting diameter, a 0.01-inch corner radius, and four right-hand helical flutes at a 30-degree helix angle, it delivers both roughing and finishing capability in a single tool. The WXL physical vapor deposition (PVD) coating provides enhanced wear resistance and heat dissipation at the cutting edge. The single-end, centercutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as side milling operations. This tool is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, production facilities, and toolrooms.
The OSG 36700311 is suited for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Its 0.625-inch length of cut and 1.5-inch overall length make it appropriate for shallow-to-moderate depth milling passes in tight workpiece features. The straight cylindrical shank accepts standard toolholders with a 0.125-inch bore. The micrograin carbide substrate and WXL coating make this end mill well matched to high-speed applications where tool life and surface finish consistency matter. It is a Series 3670 tool from OSG.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore cylindrical toolholders accepting a 0.125-inch shank diameter. Suitable for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials per OSG Series 3670 material application guidelines.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or turret is in a safe position before inserting or removing the tool. Secure the 0.125-inch shank in a clean, burr-free toolholder bore and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear on small-diameter carbide tools.
