The OSG 3331200 is a screw machine length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in steel, cast iron, and hardened materials. Built from solid carbide and finished with OSG proprietary EgiAs multi-layer coating, this bit delivers extended tool life in demanding production environments. It features a 12.00 mm diameter, a 180-degree flat bottom point, and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that reduces thrust and improves chip evacuation. The right-hand spiral flute geometry and straight cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard drill chucks and quick-change tooling. Machinists, tool-and-die shops, and maintenance operations working in ferrous materials will find this a reliable daily driver.
This bit is suited for screw machine operations, CNC machining centers, and manual drill press applications where a flat bottom hole profile is required. The 2xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 50.00 mm flute length make it appropriate for shallow-to-moderate depth holes. Primary workpiece materials include carbon steel, alloy steel, cast iron, and hardened materials up to the bit's rated hardness range. Its overall length of 95.00 mm and screw machine length designation mean it fits tighter setups with less overhang compared to jobber-length equivalents.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, screw machines, and drill presses accepting a 12.00 mm straight cylindrical shank. Rated for primary workpiece materials including steel, cast iron, and hardened materials. Part of OSG Series 5700.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists with the machine powered off and spindle fully stopped. Verify chuck or collet capacity accepts a 12.00 mm shank before mounting. Use appropriate cutting fluid or minimum quantity lubrication as required by workpiece material even though this bit does not feature through-coolant capability. Follow shop safety protocols and applicable OSHA machine guarding requirements when operating drilling equipment.
