The OSG 3330160 is a screw machine length drill bit designed for precision drilling in metalworking applications. Built from solid carbide with a proprietary EgiAs coating, it delivers consistent performance in demanding production environments. The bit measures 1.7717 inches in overall length with a 1/16 inch (0.0630 inch decimal) cutting diameter and features a 180-degree flat point geometry suited for flat-bottomed or through-hole drilling on hard materials. A straight-cylindrical shank with a 0.1181-inch decimal diameter seats securely in standard chucks. This tool is installed and operated by machinists, tool-and-die techs, and maintenance professionals working with precision drilling equipment.
The OSG 3330160 is intended for use in steel, alloy steel, and cast iron workpieces. Its screw machine length profile — shorter than jobber length — provides added rigidity and reduced deflection in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and screw machine operations. The 2xD flute-to-diameter ratio and web-thinned, tapered web configuration improve chip evacuation in short, tight bores. This bit is a strong fit for high-cycle production runs and precision fixture work where dimensional accuracy is critical.
Designed for use in steel, alloy steel, and cast iron workpieces. Part of the OSG Series 5700 high-performance carbide drill line. Fits standard straight-shank drill chucks and collet systems accepting a 3.00 mm shank diameter.
This tool is installed and operated by machinists and trained maintenance professionals. Ensure the drilling machine spindle is fully stopped and de-energized before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the chuck or collet and verify runout before beginning a production run. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety codes for speeds and feeds when drilling ferrous metals with carbide tooling.
