The OSG 3130535 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in milling applications. It features a 0.1378-inch (3.5 mm) cutting diameter and a 0.3937-inch (10 mm) length of cut, making it well suited for light finishing passes and detailed contour work in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 4-flute geometry with a 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and surface finish. OSG WXL coating adds wear resistance and thermal protection, extending tool life in demanding cutting conditions. This is a center-cutting, single-end tool ground from micrograin carbide substrate for edge retention and dimensional stability.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual knee mills for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations. Its 0.2362-inch (6 mm) shank diameter fits standard collets and end mill holders used across general-purpose shop environments. The 45 mm overall length keeps deflection low at this diameter, making it appropriate for close-tolerance work in mold, die, and precision component machining. It is a single-end tool intended for production and job shop use where consistent geometry and coating quality are required.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or production end mill for any machine tool equipped with a 0.2362-inch (6 mm) shank collet or end mill holder. Compatible with standard ER, TG, and DA collet systems accepting 6 mm shank tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder and torque the retention nut per the collet manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or coating damage before each use, and verify runout with a dial indicator when tight tolerances are required.
