The OSG 3111080 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding ferrous and hard-material applications. With a 0.0394-inch (1.00 mm) mill diameter and a 0.0315-inch (0.80 mm) length of cut, this micro end mill is built for precision work in tight geometries. The two-flute, right-hand helical design paired with OSG WXL PVD coating delivers consistent performance across roughing and finishing passes. The ultra-fine micrograin carbide substrate supports tool life in pre-hardened and hardened steels where conventional end mills fail prematurely.

This end mill is suited for mold and die work, aerospace component machining, and precision part manufacturing where small-diameter tooling and extended reach are required. Installation Notes

Installation requires a compatible toolholder accepting a 4.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank with h6 shank diameter tolerance. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before tool changes. Verify runout and tool projection before engaging the cut, as micro-diameter carbide tooling is sensitive to excessive overhang and spindle imbalance. Coolant-through is not supported on this tool; use external coolant or air blast as appropriate for the workpiece material.
