The OSG 3106350 is a solid carbide ball end mill engineered for high-performance milling in a wide range of ferrous and hard materials. Built on OSG's Series 3710 platform, it features a 3.50 mm (0.1378 inches) mill diameter, a 2-flute helical geometry with a 30-degree helix angle, and a 1.75 mm nose radius. The ultra fine micrograin carbide substrate delivers rigidity and edge retention, while the proprietary WXL PVD coating is formulated specifically for hard milling applications. The 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank and 70 mm overall length make it compatible with standard collet and end mill holders. This tool covers both roughing and finishing operations in a single setup.
The OSG 3106350 is suited for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials, with secondary capability in non-ferrous metals and superalloys including titanium. It is a single-end, right-hand cut tool with right-hand flute direction and standard-length reach of 8.00 mm. No extended reach, no coolant-through passages, and no chipbreaker geometry keep the design straightforward for general hard milling on CNC machining centers and milling machines in both job shop and production environments.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and milling machines with standard 6 mm collet or end mill holder systems. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials; secondary materials include non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium. Part of OSG Series 3710.
Installation is performed by machinists and CNC operators using a compatible 6 mm collet or shrink-fit holder; confirm runout and holder clamping torque per machine tool manufacturer specifications before cutting. Verify spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before engaging the workpiece. Do not exceed the tool's reach length of 8.00 mm to avoid deflection or tool breakage. Follow shop-specific speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type, as no specific cutting parameters are provided here.
