The OSG 300-2402 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in general machining applications. With a reamer diameter of 6.1 mm (0.2402 inches) and a tight diameter tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, this tool produces accurate, smooth bores in a wide range of workpiece materials. The straight flute geometry and right-hand cutting direction suit most standard drilling and reaming operations. At 76 mm overall length with a 25 mm flute length, it fits conventional drill chucks and collet holders. Machinists, toolmakers, and CNC operators working in job shop or production environments will find this reamer well suited to tight-tolerance hole sizing.
The 300-2402 fits general machining applications where a precise finish bore is required. The straight shank allows mounting in standard drill chucks, collet chucks, or reamer holders on lathes, drill presses, and machining centers. The bright, uncoated carbide surface is appropriate for a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous materials when coolant is applied externally. It is not configured for coolant-through delivery. This tool is part of OSG Series 300D, intended for standard carbide reaming in both low-volume job shop and higher-volume production settings.
Designed as a general-purpose OEM-style chucking reamer in the OSG Series 300D, suitable for standard straight-shank reamer holders on lathes, drill presses, and machining centers requiring a 6.1 mm bore diameter.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with rotating cutting tool safety. Secure the straight shank firmly in a properly sized collet or drill chuck before operation, and confirm runout is within acceptable limits for the tolerance class required. Always bring the spindle to a full stop before measuring the bore or adjusting workholding. Follow shop-specific feeds, speeds, and coolant procedures appropriate for the workpiece material.
