The OSG 300-2008 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in general machining applications. With a reamer diameter of 5.10 mm (0.2008 inch) and a tight tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, this tool delivers accurate, repeatable bore sizing in production and job-shop environments. The 4-flute straight geometry provides smooth cutting action and consistent surface finish. At 76 mm overall length with a 25 mm flute length, it fits standard drill chucks and collet holders. The bright, uncoated solid carbide construction handles a broad range of workpiece materials including steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous alloys.
The OSG 300-2008 is suited for CNC machining centers, manual mills, and drill presses where precise hole sizing to 5.10 mm is required. It is appropriate for through-hole and blind-hole finishing in general metalworking, tool-and-die, and production machining. The straight shank accepts standard ER collets and drill chuck toolholders. It is not configured for coolant-through applications and is not an over- or under-size reamer. Machinists and tool crib managers sourcing a standard OEM-style carbide reamer for light-to-medium production work will find this a direct fit for the Series 300D lineup.
Designed as a standard OEM-style chucking reamer for general machining applications requiring a 5.10 mm finished bore diameter; fits standard straight-shank toolholders and ER collet systems.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with rotating cutting tool safety. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is securely clamped in a properly sized collet or drill chuck before operation. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and applicable shop safety guidelines when setting speeds and feeds for carbide reamers. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use and replace the tool if damage is observed.
