The OSG 300-1850 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in general machining applications. Part of the OSG Series 300D, it produces accurate, smooth bores to a reamer diameter of 0.1850 inches (wire gauge size 13) with a tight tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches. The 4-flute, straight-flute geometry with right-hand cutting direction delivers clean, consistent material removal in both manual and CNC machine tool setups. The bright, uncoated finish suits a wide range of workpiece materials where coating is not required. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC operators install this reamer to bring drilled or bored holes to final dimensional specification.
This reamer is suited for light to medium production work and toolroom operations requiring precise hole sizing in the 0.1500 to 0.1999 inch diameter range. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 0.1719 inch (11/64 inch) shank diameter seats securely in standard drill chucks and collet holders. At 2.75 inches overall length with a 0.875 inch flute length, it fits typical short-reach applications on mills, drill presses, and lathes. It is not configured for coolant-through delivery and is not designated as a dowel pin or over/under size reamer.
Designed as a standard OEM-style solid carbide chucking reamer for general machining applications in the 0.1500 to 0.1999 inch diameter range. Compatible with any drill chuck or collet system accepting a 0.1719 inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Secure the reamer in a properly sized drill chuck or collet holder, ensuring runout is minimized before engaging the workpiece. Power down the machine spindle completely before inserting or removing the reamer. Do not use this reamer as a drill to remove stock; pre-drill or bore the hole to within recommended allowance before reaming to final size.
