The OSG 300-1250 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in general machining applications. Carrying a nominal diameter of 0.1250 inches with a tight tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, this reamer delivers accurate, repeatable bore sizing in a single pass. The 4-flute straight configuration provides clean cutting action on through and blind holes. With an overall length of 2.25 inches and a flute length of 0.625 inches, it fits standard chuck or collet setups on milling machines, drill presses, and lathes. The bright, uncoated carbide surface suits a broad range of workpiece materials without added coating complexity. Machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary users of this tool.
This reamer is suited to light-production and toolroom environments where precise hole sizing is required on small-diameter bores. It performs in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composite materials typical of general machining work. The straight shank accepts standard ER collets and drill chucks without an adapter, making it a straightforward drop-in for most CNC machining centers and manual machines. It is sold individually and carries a minimum order quantity of one unit, making it practical for both single-job procurement and low-volume restocking.
Designed as an OSG Series 300D standard carbide chucking reamer for general machining applications in toolroom and production environments.
Install in a clean, true-running collet or drill chuck and verify runout before use, as excessive runout will degrade bore tolerance. Power down or e-stop the machine and confirm the spindle is fully stopped before seating or removing the reamer. Use appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and maintain finish quality. Follow your facility safety standards and machine manufacturer guidelines for tool clamping torque and RPM selection.
