The OSG 2918001 is a spiral flute tap designed for cutting 8-32 UNC internal threads in a wide range of ferrous materials. The tap is manufactured from vanadium high-speed steel and carries a steam oxide coating that reduces friction and provides a measure of corrosion resistance during service and storage. The modified bottoming chamfer allows threading close to the bottom of a blind hole.
