The OSG 2813401 is a spiral point plug tap designed for cutting 10-24 UNC threads in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from vanadium high speed steel with a steam oxide coating, this tap delivers improved lubricity and corrosion resistance during the tapping operation. The spiral point geometry pushes chips forward ahead of the cutting teeth, making it well suited for through-hole applications where chip evacuation is a priority. With an H3 thread limit and a 2B/3B class of fit, it produces threads that meet standard fastener assembly tolerances. The overall length is 2.374 inches, with a thread length of 0.492 inches and a shank diameter of 0.194 inches.

This tap is intended for production and maintenance tapping in metals including low-carbon steel, medium-carbon steel, high-carbon steel, alloy steel, die steel, hardened steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum. It is a right-hand tap and does not feature coolant-through capability. Typical applications include machine shops, maintenance and repair operations, and fabrication environments where 10-24 UNC threaded holes are required in through-hole configurations. Installation Notes
