The OSG 26806316 is a solid carbide spiral router bit designed for cutting and roughing operations in composite materials. With a 0.25-inch cutter diameter and a 1-inch length of cut, it handles demanding material removal in applications where edge quality and tool life matter. The diamond coating reduces friction and extends wear resistance in abrasive composite substrates. At 3 inches overall length with a 1/4-inch shank, this bit fits standard collet chucks used in CNC routing and handheld router setups. Installation and operation are suited for machinists and CNC operators working with composite panels, laminates, and similar materials.
This router bit is built specifically for composite material applications such as carbon fiber, fiberglass, and similar reinforced sheet goods. The roughing router style and 15-degree right-hand spiral helix make it effective for aggressive stock removal passes where surface finish on the cut edge is secondary to material throughput. It is commonly used in production CNC routing environments as well as fabrication shops that process composite panels. The 1/4-inch shank is compatible with standard router collets and tool holders used across a wide range of benchtop and gantry CNC machines.
Designed for use in composite material applications including reinforced plastics and similar abrasive substrates. Fits standard 1/4-inch router collets and tool holders on CNC routing machines and handheld routers.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet to the recommended engagement depth and torque the collet nut according to the machine manufacturer's specifications. Verify spindle speed and feed rate settings are appropriate for composite materials before beginning the cut.
