The OSG 2593201 is a spiral point tap designed for cutting M18x2.50 metric coarse internal threads in production machining environments. It features a plug chamfer for through-hole tapping and is manufactured from vanadium high-speed steel (HSS-E), which provides increased wear resistance and heat tolerance compared to standard HSS. A steam oxide coating reduces friction and improves chip evacuation during the cut. The 3-flute spiral point geometry pushes chips ahead of the tap into the hole, making it well suited for through-hole applications in automated or CNC tapping cycles. Overall length is 4.921 inches (125 mm) with a thread length of 1-13/16 inches.
