The OSG 257-1250 is a solid carbide combo drill reamer designed to drill and ream in a single operation, eliminating the need for separate tooling passes. With a 1/8 inch reamer diameter and a 0.728 inch flute length, this tool is built for precision hole finishing in tight-tolerance applications. The bright (uncoated) finish suits general-purpose use across a range of workpiece materials. A cylindrical 1/8 inch shank and 3 inch overall length make it compatible with standard collet chucks and drill chucks found in machining centers, CNC lathes, and manual drill presses. Machinists and toolroom technicians typically install and operate this tool.
This combo drill reamer is suited for production and repair machining environments where hole diameter accuracy and surface finish are critical. It performs well in applications requiring a final reamed diameter of 0.1250 inches, such as pin and dowel hole preparation, hydraulic component work, and precision fixture fabrication. Its compact flute length targets shallow-hole and through-hole applications in metal workpieces where chip evacuation is manageable at short depths. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional spindle rotation.
Designed as an OEM-style combo drill reamer for use in standard collet chucks and drill chucks accepting a 1/8 inch cylindrical shank diameter.
This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC technicians. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Ensure the collet or chuck is clean and properly torqued to manufacturer specifications before running. Follow shop-standard feeds and speeds for solid carbide tooling in the applicable workpiece material to avoid chipping the cutting edges.
