The OSG 235-0060 is a solid carbide combination drill and countersink designed to perform drilling and countersinking in a single pass. Built to Series 235 specifications, it features a 1/2 inch body diameter, a 7/32 inch (0.2188 inch) drill point diameter, and an 118-degree drill point angle. The included countersink angle is 60 degrees. Overall length is 3 inches. The bright (polished) finish reduces friction and aids chip evacuation. Right-hand cut geometry suits standard CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machines. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this type of tooling when precision countersunk holes are required without a tool change.
This combo drill countersink is suited for production and job-shop environments where alloy steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, cast aluminum, high carbon steel, medium carbon steel, low carbon steel, Inconel, and titanium are commonly machined. The plain cutting edge style and double end type make it a versatile choice for a range of countersinking applications across these materials. It is not an aircraft-style tool and does not feature an insertable cutter head or tapered geometry.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide combo drill countersink for use on machining centers and drill presses handling alloy steel, stainless steel, aluminum, cast iron, Inconel, titanium, and related metals requiring countersunk fastener holes.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with rotating cutting tool safety. Secure the workpiece and verify spindle runout before use, as solid carbide tooling is sensitive to deflection and lateral load. Always power down and lock out the machine before changing tooling. Follow the machine manufacturer and tool manufacturer feed and speed recommendations for the specific workpiece material.
