The OSG 235-0030 is a solid carbide combination drill and countersink designed for precise hole drilling and countersinking in a single operation. Part of OSG's Series 235, this tool features a 1/4 inch body diameter, a 7/64 inch drill point diameter, and a 118-degree drill point angle with a 60-degree included angle for the countersink. The bright polished finish reduces friction and aids chip evacuation. At 2 inches overall length with a double end type, it delivers consistent performance across a wide range of metalworking applications. Right-hand cutting direction is standard. Installed by machinists, tool and die makers, and precision fabricators.
This combo drill countersink is suited for use in ferrous and non-ferrous metals including alloy steel, low and medium carbon steel, high carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, aluminum, cast aluminum, Inconel, and titanium. It is applicable in production machining, job shop work, and precision fabrication where a clean countersunk seat is required in a single pass. The plain cutting edge style and solid carbide construction make it well matched to CNC machining centers and manual drill presses operating at appropriate speeds for the workpiece material.
Designed for use on alloy steel, aluminum, cast aluminum, cast iron, high carbon steel, Inconel, low carbon steel, medium carbon steel, stainless steel, and titanium workpieces. Suitable for standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 1/4 inch shank.
This tool is intended for use by trained machinists in machine shop or manufacturing environments. Secure the tool in a properly sized collet or drill chuck before operation and verify runout is within acceptable tolerance. Always follow the machine manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the specific workpiece material when using carbide tooling. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection when operating cutting tools.
