The OSG 220-4331 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in a wide range of metallic workpiece materials. Built to Series 220D specifications, it features a 118-degree included point angle with a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that reduces thrust and improves self-centering at entry. The bright uncoated finish maintains close dimensional tolerances right out of the box, with a diameter tolerance of +0 to -0.013 mm. At 11 mm in diameter and 114 mm overall length with a 73 mm flute length, this bit is sized for standard jobber-length reach in production and maintenance drilling operations. It weighs 0.335 pounds.
This drill bit is suited for drilling blind holes, cross holes, and through holes in steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, aluminum alloy, and aluminum silicate. The two-flute regular spiral geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation in these materials. It is a general-purpose tool appropriate for machine shops, fabrication facilities, and maintenance operations where consistent hole quality across mixed material types is required. The straight-cylindrical shank accepts standard drill chucks and collet holders sized for 11 mm shanks.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and hand-held drilling equipment equipped with a chuck or collet accepting an 11 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, aluminum alloy, and aluminum silicate.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or tool and die tradespeople familiar with carbide tooling. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet before operation and verify runout is within acceptable limits, as solid carbide is brittle and sensitive to lateral loading. Do not use this bit in hand-held freehand applications where axial alignment cannot be controlled. Follow applicable machine guarding and PPE requirements per shop safety standards.
