The two-flute spiral design with web thinning reduces thrust and improves chip evacuation. At 2.125 inches overall length with a 1.0625-inch flute length, this bit is built for stub-length rigidity and accuracy. A straight-cylindrical shank ensures straightforward chuck mounting. This bit is sized for Wire Size 21 applications within the 0.1500 to 0.2000 decimal inch diameter range.
Install this bit in a compatible drill chuck, collet, or tool holder rated for carbide tooling and tighten securely before operation. Ensure the spindle and workpiece are properly fixtured to minimize vibration, which can chip carbide cutting edges. Apply appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material when possible, even though this bit does not have through-coolant capability. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and replace the bit if chipping or wear is detected, as running a damaged carbide drill can damage the workpiece and toolholder.
