The OSG 1773301 is a spiral point plug tap designed for cutting M18x1.50 metric fine internal threads in ferrous metals. Built from vanadium high-speed steel (HSS-E) and finished with a steam oxide coating, it provides improved lubricity and corrosion resistance during threading operations. The spiral point geometry pushes chips ahead of the tap and out of the hole, making it well suited for through-hole applications. With 3 flutes and a D6 thread limit, this tap holds tight tolerances for precision threaded assemblies. Thread length is 1-13/16 inches, and the shank diameter measures 0.542 inches. Right-hand thread direction is standard.
