The OSG 17524911 is a cobalt extra-length drill bit engineered for deep-hole drilling in tough materials. At 0.5 inches (1/2 inch) in diameter, it carries a 120-degree drill point angle with an X-Thinned web for reduced entry force and cleaner starts. The WXL coating improves wear resistance and heat dissipation during extended cuts. With a flute-to-diameter ratio of 20xD and a 292 mm flute length, this bit is built for applications where standard-length drills cannot reach. Machinists, tool and die makers, and industrial maintenance technicians working with hard alloys or stainless steel are the primary users.

This extra-length drill bit is suited for deep-hole work in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including alloy steels, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard plastics.
