The OSG 1752208 is a spiral flute tap designed for cutting 6-32 UNC internal threads in challenging materials including alloy steel, stainless steel, hardened steel, titanium, and high-nickel alloys. It features a modified bottoming chamfer for threading close to the bottom of blind holes and carries a 2B class of fit for standard fastener applications. Built from powdered metal with a TICN (Titanium Carbon Nitride) coating, this tap delivers extended wear resistance and reduced friction in abrasive or tough materials. The right-hand spiral flute geometry pulls chips up and out of the hole, reducing the risk of chip packing in blind-hole applications. Overall length is 3.54 inches.

This tap is suited for machine tapping operations in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and tapping heads where consistent thread quality in difficult-to-machine materials is required.
