Product Description

The OSG 1650011508 is a spiral flute tap designed for threading M8x1.25 metric coarse holes in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Built from powdered metal with a V coating, this bottoming tap cuts to the bottom of blind holes where standard taps cannot reach full thread depth. The 45-degree helix angle evacuates chips upward out of the hole, reducing the risk of chip packing and tap breakage. It carries a 6H class of fit and a D5 thread limit, producing threads within standard metric tolerance for general mechanical assemblies. Installation is performed by qualified machinists and tool-and-die or maintenance personnel.

This tap is suited for production and job-shop environments where blind-hole threading is required in materials including alloy steel, low-, medium-, and high-carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, aluminum, and cast aluminum.
