The OSG 1608807 is a straight flute tap designed for cutting M12x1.75 metric coarse internal threads in machined components. Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with a nitride/oxide coating, the tap offers improved wear resistance and reduced friction during the cutting cycle. With 4 flutes and a 6H class of fit, it produces threads suitable for standard metric fastener assemblies. Overall length is 3.375 inches, thread length is 1.656 inches, and the shank diameter is 0.3670 inches. Rated at D6 thread limit.
