The OSG 1500201400 is a double-end plug thread gage designed to verify internal M12x1.5 threads to the 6H tolerance class. One end carries the Go member and the other carries the No Go member, allowing a technician to confirm both the minimum and maximum material conditions in a single tool. The gage body is machined from high speed steel for wear resistance and dimensional stability. A handle is included. This type of gage is standard in precision machining, maintenance, and quality-control environments where threaded hole acceptance must be documented before assembly.
This gage is used to inspect M12x1.5 internally threaded components in manufacturing, repair, and incoming-inspection applications. Typical users include machinists, tool-room technicians, quality-assurance inspectors, and maintenance professionals working on metric-threaded fastener interfaces. The double-end configuration eliminates the need to swap between separate Go and No Go gages, making it practical for both production-floor checks and bench inspection.
Designed for inspection of M12x1.5 internally threaded holes manufactured to the 6H tolerance class per standard metric thread specifications.
Thread plug gages are used by quality-control inspectors and machinists — not installed in a system, but applied to a workpiece for dimensional verification. Keep the gage clean and lightly oiled to prevent corrosion and ensure accurate readings. Do not force the No Go end into a threaded hole; if it enters under hand pressure, the hole is out of tolerance. Store the gage in its case or on a padded rack away from other tooling to prevent nicking the thread form.
