The OSG 1500101900 is a double-end plug thread gage used to verify internal threads to the 5/16-18 UNC thread standard. One end carries the Go member and the other carries the No Go member, allowing a technician to confirm both the minimum and maximum thread tolerance in a single tool. The gage is manufactured from high speed steel for durability and dimensional stability. It conforms to 2B class tolerance limits, which is the standard commercial and industrial fit class for unified internal threads. A handle is included. This tool is used by machinists, quality control inspectors, and maintenance technicians working to ASME B1.2 thread gage standards.
This plug thread gage is suited for inspection of 5/16-18 UNC tapped holes in manufacturing, assembly, and field maintenance environments. It is applicable in any setting where internal thread quality must be verified before assembly, including metalworking shops, MRO operations, and production lines. The double-end configuration keeps both Go and No Go members on one handle, reducing tool changeover time during inspection runs.
Designed for inspection of 5/16-18 UNC tapped holes conforming to 2B class tolerance per unified thread standards.
Thread gages are inspection tools, not cutting tools — never force the gage into a tapped hole. The Go member should pass through the full thread length under hand pressure only; the No Go member should not enter more than two turns. Store the gage in its case when not in use to protect the ground thread surfaces. Calibration and periodic re-certification should follow your facility's quality management procedures or ASME B1.2 guidelines.
