The OSG 1410105001 is a thread forming tap in the HY-PRO NRT series, designed to cold-form M10x1.50 metric coarse internal threads without cutting or producing chips. Built from cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a steam oxide coating, this tap generates threads by displacing material rather than removing it, resulting in stronger thread forms and longer tool life in production environments. The modified bottoming chamfer with 2 to 2.5 chamfered threads allows threading close to the bottom of blind holes. It carries a D6 thread limit and a 4H class of fit, making it suitable for precision metric threading applications in machining and fabrication work.
