The tap is manufactured from powdered metal high-speed steel and carries a TiCN coating for improved wear resistance and lubricity. At 2.375 inches overall length with a 0.4921-inch thread length, it is sized for 10-32 UNF right-hand threads with a bottoming chamfer of 1 to 1.5 thread pitches. Class of fit is 2B, thread limit H5. Installation Notes

Because this is a forming tap, the correct pilot hole diameter is larger than for a cut tap - verify the recommended forming tap drill size for 10-32 UNF before drilling. Do not run this tap in reverse before fully withdrawing from the hole, as reverse rotation can damage formed threads.
