The OSG 1400151401 is a thread forming tap in the HY-PRO NRT series, designed for cold-forming internal threads without cutting or producing chips. Built from cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a steam oxide coating, this plug-chamfer tap handles through-hole threading applications in demanding materials including alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, die steel, hardened steel, and aluminum. The H10 thread limit and 4 to 4.5 chamfered threads at the lead make it well-suited for controlled-tolerance threading where chip evacuation is a concern.
