The OSG 1400126300 is a thread forming tap designed for cold-forming internal threads in ductile metals without cutting or producing chips. Sized for 1/4-20 UNC threads, this tap features a modified bottoming chamfer with 2 to 2.5 chamfered threads, making it well suited for blind hole threading applications where the formed thread must extend close to the bottom of the hole. Constructed from cobalt high-speed steel with a bright finish, it delivers added heat and wear resistance compared to standard HSS taps. The H5 thread limit designation ensures consistent tolerance control for precision threading work.

This tap is intended for use in blind hole threading operations across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
