The OSG 1400114301 is a thread forming tap designed for cutting 8-32 UNC internal threads in blind hole applications. Part of the HY-PRO NRT series, it uses a modified bottoming chamfer with 2 to 2.5 chamfered threads, allowing threading close to the bottom of a blind hole. The tap is manufactured from cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a steam oxide coating for improved lubricity and wear resistance. It carries a Class 3B thread fit with an H3 thread limit, making it suitable for precision threading work. At 2.125 inches overall length and 0.168 inches shank diameter, it fits standard tap holders used in machining and fabrication environments.

This tap is suited for threading alloy steel, carbon steel, die steel, hardened steel, aluminum, and stainless steel workpieces.
