Osborn 0007007000 Natural Bristle Paint Brush 2 in

Product Description

The OSBORN 0007007000 is a 2-inch natural hog bristle paint brush designed for oil-based coatings and finishes. The bristles are sourced from hog hair, which holds oil-based paint well and releases it smoothly across surfaces. A beavertail-style ferrule connects the bristle bundle to a 5.5-inch plastic handle, giving the user a balanced grip during detail work and trim applications. This brush is suited for professional painters, contractors, and maintenance technicians who work with oil-based paints, primers, varnishes, and stains on a regular basis.

This brush is appropriate for residential and light commercial painting tasks where oil-based coatings are specified. Typical applications include trim work, cabinetry, doors, and surface finishing where a natural bristle outperforms synthetic alternatives. Natural hog bristle is not recommended for use with latex or water-based coatings, as water causes the bristle to swell and lose its shape. This brush is sold as a single unit and is intended for direct replacement or as a supplemental brush in a working kit.

Installation Notes

Before first use, remove loose bristles by rolling the brush firmly between your palms. When working with oil-based coatings, follow all applicable VOC safety guidelines and ensure adequate ventilation in the work area. Clean this brush with mineral spirits or paint thinner after each use and reshape the bristles before storage. Do not soak the brush in solvent for extended periods, as this can weaken the ferrule bond over time.
