The OSBORN 0001143400 is a shank-mount wheel brush designed for surface preparation, deburring, and cleaning tasks on metal, weld seams, and similar materials. It features a 1-1/2 inch outside diameter and a 3/8 inch face width, with crimped carbon steel fill wire in the 0.0100 to 0.0199 inch diameter range. The 1/4 inch shank mounts directly into a die grinder, rotary tool, or drill chuck. Rated to 25,000 RPM, it is suited for high-speed finishing work where a flexible crimped wire action is needed to conform to irregular surfaces. A 9/32 inch trim length provides controlled wire flex during operation.
This wheel brush is used in metalworking, fabrication, HVAC duct preparation, plumbing pipe cleaning, and general maintenance applications. It is appropriate for both shop bench work and field service where a portable rotary tool is used. The shank-mount design makes it easy to swap into standard collet-style die grinders and rotary tools without an adapter. It is commonly installed by HVAC technicians, pipefitters, welders, and maintenance professionals who need precise, localized surface conditioning on small workpieces or tight areas.
Designed for use with die grinders and rotary tools accepting a 1/4 inch shank. Compatible with standard collet-style power tools rated to accept accessories at 25,000 RPM or below.
Install this brush into a compatible 1/4 inch collet-style die grinder or rotary tool. Always verify the tool RPM rating meets or exceeds the brush maximum RPM before use. Wear appropriate eye and face protection, as wire bristles can shed at speed. Inspect the brush before each use and do not operate a brush with bent, broken, or missing wires.
