The OSBORN 0001140800 is a crimped nylon wheel brush designed for surface finishing, deburring, and blending applications in industrial and trade environments. The fill material is silicon carbide nylon at 320 grit, making it well suited for fine finishing passes on metal, composite, or plastic workpieces. The brush mounts via a 0.625 inch arbor hole and is rated to a maximum of 15,000 RPM. With a 2.5 inch outside diameter and a 0.375 inch face width, this is a compact tool that fits standard bench grinders, angle grinders, and arbor-mounted setups used by machinists, fabricators, and maintenance technicians.
This wheel brush is appropriate for light to medium deburring, surface prep, and finishing work in fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and production environments. The crimped wire configuration provides consistent, controlled abrasive action across the workpiece face. The 320 grit rating positions this brush for fine finishing rather than aggressive material removal. No shank is included, so the tool requires an arbor-hole mount setup. It is not encapsulated, which is standard for open-wheel brush configurations used in general metalworking and surface preparation tasks.
Designed for use with arbor-hole-mount grinders and rotary tools that accept a 0.625 inch arbor. Suitable for bench grinders, angle grinders, and similar rotating equipment rated to accommodate a 15,000 RPM, 2.5 inch diameter wheel brush.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with rotary abrasive tooling. Always power down and disconnect the grinder or rotary tool before mounting or removing the brush. Verify that the host machine's rated RPM meets or exceeds the 15,000 RPM maximum rating of this brush before operation. Eye protection and appropriate PPE are required when operating rotary abrasive tools, per standard shop safety practice.
