The ORTRONICS KSC5EA is a Cat5e keystone jack designed for structured cabling installations. It provides a modular termination point for Cat5e copper network cable in wall plates, patch panels, and surface-mount boxes. The anti-corrosive construction helps maintain signal integrity in environments where humidity or airborne contaminants are a concern. This component is handled and installed by low-voltage cabling technicians as part of voice, data, and network infrastructure work.
The KSC5EA is suited for use in commercial and residential structured cabling systems where Cat5e performance is required. Typical applications include office LAN drops, telecom closet patch panel builds, and wall outlet installations. It is sold individually, making it practical for single-port replacements or small-run installations alongside larger deployments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install component compatible with standard keystone-style wall plates, patch panels, and surface-mount enclosures accepting 568-compliant Cat5e keystone jacks.
Installation is performed by low-voltage cabling technicians. Terminate Cat5e cable pairs according to T568A or T568B wiring standards as required by the project specification. Use a 110-style punch-down tool for IDC termination. Follow applicable TIA-568 and local low-voltage wiring codes during installation.
