The ORTRONICS KS6A is a Cat6 keystone jack designed for structured cabling installations in commercial and residential network environments. It terminates horizontal copper cabling runs at wall plates, patch panels, and surface-mount boxes, providing a reliable Category 6 connection point for data and voice applications. The jack is sold individually and is suited for installation by low-voltage cabling technicians and electricians working to TIA-568 standards.
The KS6A fits into standard keystone-style wall plates, surface-mount housings, and patch panels that accept universal keystone inserts. It is commonly deployed in office buildouts, data closets, and structured wiring installations where Cat6 performance is required for Gigabit Ethernet and PoE applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-install keystone jack for use in Cat6 structured cabling systems with universal keystone-compatible wall plates, surface-mount boxes, and patch panels.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage technician or licensed electrician in accordance with TIA-568 and applicable local codes. De-energize any active PoE circuits before terminating cables at the jack. Use a 110-style punch-down tool for proper conductor seating. Avoid untwisting cable pairs more than necessary at the termination point to maintain Cat6 signal integrity.
