The ORTRONICS KS5E is a Cat5e keystone jack kit supplied in a 25-unit pack, finished in white. Designed for T568A and T568B wiring configurations, these jacks terminate horizontal copper cabling runs at wall plates, patch panels, and surface-mount boxes. The dual-standard wiring compatibility makes the KS5E suitable for both new installation and retrofit work in structured cabling environments. Data and low-voltage installers, systems integrators, and network cabling contractors are the primary users. Each unit in the kit is sold individually as a discrete jack, giving installers a straightforward quantity for a mid-sized wiring project.
The KS5E kit is suited for commercial and residential structured cabling installations where Cat5e performance is specified. Common applications include office network drops, hospitality wiring projects, and school or campus LAN buildouts. The T568A/T568B dual wiring pattern support allows the installer to follow whichever standard the job requires without sourcing a separate part number. Use a 110-style punch-down tool to seat conductors into the IDC contacts, and follow the wiring diagram printed on the jack body for the selected T568A or T568B configuration. Installations in commercial buildings should conform to ANSI/TIA-568 cabling standards and applicable local low-voltage codes.
